Man is the supreme creature with an Immortal soul conceived within his mortal body. Human Psyche- the mind - the soul -is neither material nor merely a working modality of the brain. It is the very life principle, vivifying and activating the perishable body. Man is created unto the Image of God. The Image consists in the soul. Hence, the soul, though not God, is Godly. It is powerful, but encaged in the body, with a `modus operandi' through the brain, the sublime Computer! But the whole mind is not at all operating through it, only a one tenth of it!

Medical Science holds that our mind is divided into two unequal parts, the Conscious and Subconscious. The conscious mind strangely enough forms only one tenth of the mind. It is that mind we use every day, which regulates all our day to day life-actions, thinking speaking-etc. It is totally non-creative and takes its life from the Subconscious- the nine tenth of our mind. It is this wonderful part of our mind, which controls the fantastically intricate Chemistry, which is our brain and body. It is the subconscious mind, ``The Power Within'', which can be used to become Master or Super Man. Brain is a supernatural Computer.

Man made computer is a `miracle' to the public. It works with electric Power. Software changes its course tremendously. The supernatural computer that is the brain, works with the conscious power of the mind, the godly power. Thoughts, Belief, Prayer, Meditation, Concentration, Visualization-etc. are the software to be applied, for super performance! It was so with the ``Rishies''and saints!

` Gnothe Seauton' means `Know thyself' were inscribed over the entrance to the Athenian Temple, centuries ago, when Greece was considered the epitome of Philosophy and Civilization. One may think that one knows oneself fully. From one point of view, he may! But he knows only the Creamy Layer! Brain specialists confirm that an average man uses only five per cent of his brain capacity and even the worlds greatest geniuses rarely employ fifteen percent! Then what cannot be, the total capacity!

The universe and every thing in it constitute God! The universe is a gigantic Human organism, and man is a tiny image of it, a toy replica of God! Because he is a microcosm of the universe, he has in him, the universal power in a miniature form, and by a process of spiritual expansion, a man can mystically extend his own being to cover the entire world and subject it to his will.

Thought is energy, we live, and breathe and exist in one great sea of vibrating energy. Every thought we send out from our mind clothes itself immediately in an intangible body made up of energy. Thus our thoughts become for a time a quasi- living creature with the `thought force' acting as its soul. Every thought we make creates an impression of itself in the ether and usually reproduces itself in physical form and comes back to us. Every cause has its effect, every action its fruit. The Laws of nature are invariable and unchangeable. Hence it follows that we must act in conformity with these Laws, not against them.

The identical powers of the universe fortify every thought, imagination and concentration of ours. It can be for the better or worse, depending on the quality of our thoughts and actions etc. That is, according to the working modality of the `unit' - the conscious mind and brain - one can become Godly or Diabolic! So we have to understand the Laws of Nature and obey them; violations create problems! Causes of today's, are the effects of tomorrows! So, effects, good or evil are of `Karma.'Conscience is the internal manifestations of the Godly Subconscious Mind. It is the Divine court of Justice.

In this perpetual storm of existence, we should be attentive and obedient to the `Tiny Voice of our subconscious, the court of Justice. Violation of which is defamatory to the court, exposing to punishment. And that punishment manifests itself in various forms, as mental and physical problems. (A man with a guilty conscience, is always vulnerable. prevention is better than cure .So bad Karmic results should be avoided or nullified by timely good Karmic actions and outlook.)

Considering all these aspects of a man in his totality, I feel, a religio- scientific approach is needed to bring about a radical solution and cure for his mental turbulence and vibrations, a psycho-religious process consisting of analytic investigation, fixation, elimination, reparation, renovation and corroboration. And that is what Psycho- Religious Therapy is all about.
